Hi Paul, I'm excited for you to be going on this trip (and probably life changing experience) and I hope that things all come together well while you plan and prepare. Lot of love, Mike and Lo

About Run for Water Bekyye 20190

After over 30 years working with children, youth and families, including involvement with Indigenous people, new immigrants, marginalized and disabled people, I'm so excited to be involved with Run for Water!  I feel like my personal and professional life have been preparing me for this opportunity.  R4W is a truly amazing organization, partnering with the people of Ethiopia to provide  clean water and schools. This is not a handout or charity;  it is a true collaboration with local, grassroots partners.  Thank you for your donation to provide life-giving water to the people of Bekyye.

In November 2019, I will be one of 16 people traveling to Ethiopia with the organization Run for Water. The purpose of this trip is to raise money to build a new school and to bring clean water to the people of Bekyye, a village in rural Oromia, Ethiopia.  We are all covering our own costs to be a part of this, and 100% of your donation is used directly in partnering with the people of Ethiopia.

Paul

For a lot reasons, Kibra's story resonates with me.  The idea of ensuring the safety, well-being, education, and enhancement of this young lady is inspiring, and also entirely possible!  Check it out:
